About us

We are a group of fairly ordinary folk who share one thing in common - a personal faith in our Lord Jesus Christ whom we believe is Lord of All.  When we became Christians we were baptized unto Christ, and as members of the Christian Assembly that meets in the Gospel Hall, Warsash, we endeavour to conduct our assembly in accordance with the teaching of the New Testament in all its simplicity.

Although we are in fellowship with other similar churches, we remain free of all external control and believe that as an assembly of Christians we are answerable to Christ alone, and should be guided by the Holy Spirit through the Word of God.

As we said in our Home page, the present hall was founded over 100 years ago although the Assembly itself was established some 50 years earlier as you will see from the brief history page.  If you would like to see a historic document dating from the opening meeting on 12th February, 1908, please click the link.  Do you see any familiar names?  If so please let us know.

Our responsibility?

Our existence as an assembly has one purpose: the furtherance of the Kingdom of God in Warsash and to this end we endeavour to preach the Word of God regularly and witness personally concerning the Lord Jesus Christ.  We believe that He alone is the answer to the need of us all for forgiveness of sin, and hope of heaven.  He himself said:" I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me" (John 14.6)

“In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth” (Genesis 1:1)

“God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;” (Acts 17:24)

The field is the world” (Matthew 13:38)

“And he said unto them, [his disciples] Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.’ (Mark 16:15)
